Berries not only taste delicious, they are great for your skin as well. Blueberries, raspberries, strawberries contain many key nutrients that keep the skin looking young and healthy.

First of all, berries are high in antioxidants. Antioxidants are natural substances that help fight free-radical damage caused by the external environment. Free radical damage is one of the leading causes of skin damage that contributes to premature aging. Yet, antioxidants are able to scavenge these free radicals to promote faster healing. This is especially important as we age as our bodies' ability to fight off free radicals begins to slow.

Since berries are also beneficial for heart health and circulation, they may help improve the heart's ability to pump oxygen and nutrients to your skin cells. This allows for improved skin cellular turnover and smoother skin.

Berries also contain a substance called anthocyanin. Anthocyanin helps support collagen production, and collagen is the vital protein that keeps the skin firm and plump.

Not to mention the fact that berries contain other key vitamins such as Vitamin C and K, which also promote wound healing. Coupled with antioxidants, these vitamins speed up the healing process and may even help fight inflamed acne lesions.

So, be sure to eats lots of berries to help keep your skin looking radiant and youthful.
