SUPERFOOD OF THE WEEK: AVOCADO


Avocados are a superfood with many health benefits. Packed full of antioxidants, healthy fats, vitamins and minerals, this rich fruit gives you beautiful and radiant skin.

Antioxidants are essential ingredients when it comes to having healthy skin. Two antioxidant vitamins found in avocados, Vitamin C and Vitamin E, work together to boost collagen production and protect your skin from damage caused by environmental factors. Vitamin C helps protect against inflammatory skin conditions like acne. It also helps prevent the breakdown of collagen, which keeps the skin firm and plump. Vitamin E protects against free radicals to keep the skin looking smooth and flawless.

Monounsaturated fats are healthy fats found in avocados. These fats help increase skin elasticity and reduce the appearance of wrinkles. They also moisturize the skin, leaving it feeling soft and smooth.


Avocados are also packed with Biotin, a B complex vitamin known to promote strong nails and thick hair. Biotin also helps keep the skin moisturized, and a deficiency of this nutrient may result in dry skin or a rash.
